ONE SAINT AGNES RANCHER COMMERCIAL

This Rancher commercial was created in the Communications Department at Saint Agnes Medical Center. My role was to create storyboards of the layout for the shots that they needed to fit the script. The theme was to have a backdrop that would fit the narrative of the farmer's life which corresponded with the numbers mentioned in the script.

Since I grew up with farming grandparents, I had some connection to the environment they lived with. In this commercial storyboard, I was able to draw from images I remembered being around, such as the tractor, the barn and the fields of grapes. I used my childhood experience as reference points to draw on how to capture the shots in the commercial. The director for the commercial liked the ideas so much that we actually scouted a location that had a farm close to my grandparent's house so we could use his tractor. I was able to drive it to the set.

ONE SAINT AGNES TEACHER COMMERCIAL

This Teacher commercial was the second in the One Saint Agnes series created in the Communications Department at Saint Agnes. My role was to create storyboards of the layout for the shots that they needed to fit the script. The theme was to have a backdrop that would fit the narrative of the teacher's classroom experience which corresponded with the numbers mentioned in the script.

My childhood also played an important role in developing this commercial. I attended a small town school that was built in 1938. Because of this, I remembered the tall ceilings, big windows, wooden desks and original chalkboards. These features were ones that made for the best look nostalgic look for the backdrop to tell the story. We were able to get permission to shoot at this location, which was 3 doors down from my 3rd-grade classroom. There is a hidden detail in this commercial that is very unique, the photo on the teacher's desk. She was a parent of 4 children, so to get this family photo my 2 cousins and I pose in the photoshoot with another actress so that we could look truly related.

MIXCRAFT YOUTUBE COMMERCIAL SPOT

A HIPSTER AND A CORPSE-FACE ROCKER WALK INTO A BAR.

Acoustica decided to create some video ADs for a youtube campaign around various styles of music. They narrowed down three styles for the videos. The staff created a script and identified a certain set of key scenes that they wanted to show in the commercial. I set about scouting out older businesses downtown that had the right space to shoot the commercial. I found a coffee roasting company that was only using a half the open space inside. We were given permission to set-dress the conference room and make it a bedroom recording studio, and I themed each style to reflect – Country Western, Heavy Metal and Hip Hop. I changed enough of the decor in the room to allow for a slight difference in the room for each musician. We hired talent and had a make-up artist for our shoot. We filmed all 3 segments that day and cleared the coffee shop so that business was not interrupted.

These videos were created with the primary purpose to inform our customers that our software was for home musicians that were not Sound Engineers and that all artists can create professional sounding music with ease of use in MIXCRAFT. The intended design was to use humor to address 2 stereotypes “Corpse-face” death metal musician interacting with a “Hipster Gear-head” musician in a random setting where they are in the middle of talking about recording software. There were a few directions that were story-boarded, but eventually one was chosen that was driving a humorous greeting exchange between the actors. Eventually it was edited down twice to be short and a generic commercial. It was a great experience for Acoustica to experiment with making a video commercial for the first time.

SIMPLE CONCEPT FOR COMMERCIAL STORY

POSTER PROP

I created a Corpse-face Metal poster for the wall of rocker home studio set that we created for the commercial. It worked in covering most of the wall.
